Tanselle

Edwin Schroeder (E.C.), Director of the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library、Yale University,  kindly sent me a book for my 77th birthday gift, which was a illustrated catalogue of ‘American Publishing History: the Tanselle Collection’ held at  Beinecke, in 2020. A great scholar-collector,  G. Thomas Tanselle is a distinguished bibliographer known as the author of seminal works in bibliography.

イェール大学バイネッケ図書館のシュレーダー館長が、私の喜寿の誕生祝として、2020年に同館で展示会が行われた『アメリカ出版史：タンセル・コレクション』を贈ってくれました。研究者兼収集家として知られるG.トマス・タンセルは、アメリカの書誌学界の重鎮で多くの著作があります。E.C. は今夏をもって館長職を引退する予定です。
